Tutor Testimonials

Helping young people, and doing maths at the same time – two of my favourite things!  It is just a great thing to be able to make a difference in the lives of young people that want to do their best, so I feel really quite privileged to be able to help them achieve that goal.  Maths can really be quite a bit of fun, so I enjoy helping young people see that side of maths – especially if for some reason their maths school experiences have left them with a sour taste in their mouths.  Life is not all about mathematics though, so it is also good to be able to help students see the bigger picture in life, as opportunity arises!

Tutoring students is a very rewarding experience.

It provides an environment where you can focus time into developing students’ academic skills and knowledge, as well as their confidence to perform tasks. Sharing students’ joy and excitement when they master previously difficult content is a constant highlight.

I love that tutoring gives me the opportunity to work collaboratively on a one-to-one basis with motivated and personable young men and women. I get to know each student personally and to share their sense of achievement as they succeed in mastering new skills and levels of attainment. I invariably leave tutoring with a smile on my face and the feeling that our time has been well spent.

I believe that tutoring involves not only assisting my students to improve their skills and knowledge in a given subject, but also to improve their confidence and to allow them to find their voice. I believe it is important to tailor my tutoring to meet the learning styles and needs of my students and to celebrate every success, minute or otherwise.

Watching a student reach that point where he or she no longer needs you is both sad (to see the end of that relationship) and an honour, to have been a part of their journey.

I have been tutoring years 7 – 12 Maths students for a number of years and enjoy the enthusiasm of all the students in my care. It is rewarding to have a pupil come in with problems which we are able to work on together and then to see the relief when he or she is able to solve the difficulties. The greatest reward for me is to see a pupil gain the confidence to recognise his or her ability from which success follows.

Our various experiences in our teaching careers help us as tutors to focus on the individual needs of our students. To see a student develop his or her understanding of a topic or a skill creates a positive environment for all participants.

I enjoy tutoring as I get to work with students who are wanting to learn and to improve their grades. They value education and are reaching out for a helping hand.

3Ts offers teachers with extensive experience and who care for their students. We work with students on a one-to-one basis and are able to focus on their particular needs.
